Rivendell es una banda austriaca de Black Metal epico con influencias Folk, fundada en 1998 bajo el nombre de Fangorn.

El nombre Rivendell se refiere a un fuerte elfo que aparece en la serie de libros “The Lord Of The Rings” por J.R.R. Tolkien. No es solo el nombre, sino que gran parte de la tematica de las letras han sido inspiradas en el mundo de la Tierra Media.
